Alphabet Ebroidered Quilt
It is a tradition in my family to hand embroider a baby quilt for all the first time mothers. Each block is embroidered by a different member of the family. Every body did such a great job! The blocks are adorable. Since my sister-in-law's baby shower was last Saturday, my other sister-in-law and I worked around the clock to get the quilt ready to present her with it at the shower. The theme my sister-in-law chose was the Alphabet, which suits her because she is a preschool teacher. The quilt turned out so cute. She wanted it to look random. However with so many quilt blocks I joked with her that it is no longer a baby quilt but made to go on a queen sized bed.

Tag Blanket

I created this tag blanket for my baby with fabric and ribbon from my stash. I used lots of different ribbons and lace. I also used different feeling fabrics (corduroy, eyelet, satin, fleece, and velvet) so she could feel the different textures. She loved playing with it. Now her little sister enjoys playing with it.
