Learning to Knit

My grandma is trying to teach me to knit. I have never learned, but I have known how to crochet since I was in 3rd grade. It's like learning a new language when you are well out of the school scenario. It's awkward, weird, and coming along very slowly. I don't even think I could "cast on" by myself if my life depended on it. I am working on knitting and purling and trying not to loose stitches. However, I'm not really making anything right now. Maybe if I were actually trying to make something I would enjoy this more. Does anyone have an easy project for a beginner?

  1. I have some books for hats and scarfs. Those are always the easiest. When ever I have a problem that I can't figure out I go to a yarn store and ask them how to do it. If you have any questions, I have a little experience. I could help where I can :)
