A little crazy
A couple days ago, I was feeling a little crazy and decided to make a Barbie dress for my little girl. My three year old picked out this fabric a while ago and I haven't done anything with it. So I decided to make her Barbies a cute dress out of it.
I used a sewing pattern from the 80's. Barbie must have gotten bigger around since then because I had to alter the pattern to fit her larger rib cage and bum.

Makia Creations
I have been attending a cute craft night at my sister-in-law's house. This month I made this super cute reversible picture holder. The crafts come from a company called Makia Creations. They make crafting simple by providing all the materials for group craft nights. The best part is you get to choose your own craft and don't have to do what everyone else is doing, although you will wish you could do them all. I have realized that I have turned into my mother!!! Yikes! I hated digital cameras for the longest time because my mom always took a gazillion photos and NEVER printed them. I hate that. I like to be able to see the pictures. Well, I print my pictures, just as 12 by 12 digital scrapbook pages. When I went looking for some cute pictures of my family that I could put in this picture frame, I realized that I didn't have any good recent photos of my oldest daughter. I NEED to make a trip to Costco to get some recent photos printed.

My new toy
I have been busy lately learning how to use my new toy. I got a Silhouette Machine for Christmas! Yea! Well, actually I had to wait until January 16th to get it because Christmas was postponed until my dad got back from Africa.
Last week I worked on the basics of the program and cutting regular paper. I also got some sketching pens that I played around with.
Yesterday I figured out how to cut vinyl. I made this quick sign for my wall. Please don't look at the pictures. They are really out of date.
Today I learned how to print and cut. I printed some super cute THANK YOU cards for customers of my shop. I love how they turned out. However it took me a while to get it right. I also printed and cut some "Dave's Homemade Ice Cream" stickers for my sister-in-law to put on some ice cream cups.
Oh the fun stuff to come!!! Yea!

Leikyn Turchi
I just read this story about a little girl name Leikyn Turchi who has cancer. Her mother has ordered from my shop before and contacted me to donate to a silent auction they are having to raise funds for their medical expenses. Her story has touched my heart and I know it will touch yours. www.colespages.org/leikyn

I love this!
I love this fabric! It is Michael Miller Delovely Damask, Breeze, from the Antiquity Collection. Tomorrow I am going to get coordinating fabric to make a quilt with it for my bed. I can't wait to see how it all turns out.
